MP Benjamin Tayari has promise to resuscitate all instruction ventures “disregarded” by his forerunner Gonzi Rai.
He guaranteed the classrooms will have every one of the materials that students require.
Tayari also mentioned that he had set up a panel that will visit all establishments in the region with him to screen the advance of the undertakings.
“We are going to use our CDF funds to finish all the stalled projects that the MP ignored. This will help us save and plan for more.”
Tayari stressed the importance of education, saying it is the only way out of poverty.
“If we invest in education, we invest in our future. Everybody wants to have a good life … only good education can guarantee that,” he said during a meeting of all primary school heads in the area.
The meeting that discussed how to improve performance took place at Kinango Primary School on Thursday.
Tayari cautioned head educators who consider their occupations, saying they make Kinango linger behind and students to perform ineffectively.
“Kinango produced top students from public schools. This was because of your effort but there are some who still get a mean score of below 200. You’re letting us down.”
The MP also warned teachers who drink alcohol on duty, telling them he won’t tolerate this.
“How do you expect to wake up early in the morning and be in class on time if you spend the whole night drinking? Teachers should be role models to their students. A drunk teacher is a bad example … we must not allow this.”
