In the melee at Panafric Hotel in Nairobi, the NASA aligned Mathare MP booked the press conference venue and issued a statement indicating that less than 10% of Kenyans have voted in the repeat polls.
Immediately after the NASA MPs finished addressing the press conference, Jubilee aligned MPs led by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen stormed the venue and announced that only Luos boycotted the polls and its is Raila who lost and not all Kenyans.
The utterances which were on live TV forced the NASA MPs to come back and tell the Jubilee team to stop insulting Raila because they had not insulted President Uhuru Kenyatta.
After the second address by NASA MPs, Jubilee MPs led by Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja came back and tried to deliver a milder statement to dilute the strong one delivered by Senator Murkomen. In the background of Senator Sakaja’s address, MP Anthony Oluoch was being beaten by the bodyguards of the MPs.
It took the intervention of Senator Sakaja to rescue Anthony Oluoch from the marauding youth.

The hotel management demanded that NASA aligned MPs exit the hotel premises, a call which was not heeded by the MPs who demanded to know why they were being evicted from the premises.
