American rapper and entrepreneur Rick Ross has finally arrived in Nairobi, Kenya to headline the much-anticipated NRG Wave concert set for Saturday, April 28.
Rozay, as he is popularly known and his team touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday, April 27, morning ready to rock bosses who have been waiting for him eagerly.
As reported by Correspondent earlier, the event will be held at the Carnivore, Nairobi and will see local acts such as Khaligraph, Nyashinski and Fena Gitu perform alongside the world-famous rapper.
The NRG Wave concert has been the talk of town for the past few weeks with many ascertainment enthusiast terming it a major milestone in showbiz.
The event had earlier on been marred by a cloud of controversy with critics claiming it was an empty hype aiming at giving the organisers some mileage.
Others even said the rapper wouldn’t show up, not to mention the murmurs surrounding the entrance fees.
Quite a multitude claimed the charges (VIP – KSh 9,000, Normal 3000) were exorbitant and even went ahead to released a list of diva demands alleged to have been made by Rozay.
The noises were finally shut down by the rapper himself and the organisers who sent out official statements to confirm Rick Ross’s attendance and dilute the diva demands claims.
With him already in the country, hip hop lovers and his fans are assured of an electric performance from the rapper.
