The sudden death of the Radio Journalist was announced through the official social media accounts of DW.
“Mkuu na watangazaji wa idhaa ya Kiswahili ya DW tunasikitika kutangaza msiba mkubwa wa kuondokewa na mfanyakazi mwenzetu Isaac Muyenjwa Gamba, aliyefariki dunia akiwa nyumbani kwake mjini Bonn. According to one of his colleagues who spoke to Tanzania’s The Citizen, Gamba had not reported to work since Tuesday, October 16, which prompted them to report to police.
“He didn’t arrive at work since Tuesday. We were forced to report the matter to the police who upon checking his house found him lying dead,” he said.
Before joining DW in Germany, Gamba had worked for a number of Tanzania’s biggest media houses including Itv, Radio One and Radio Uhuru.
