An unknown number of children fell into a pit latrine at a primary school in Nakuru County.
Six of those who fell in have already been rescued as the search continues for the remaining children.
The pit latrine at Kisulisuli Primary School sank in following heavy rains.
According to Wesley Makori, the fire brigade team leader, they were alerted about the incident at 8am.
Upon arrival, they found that six children had already been rescued. They are yet to find the others.
“We are working alongside the Kenya Red Cross as fast as possible,” he told Correspondent.
The school headteacher said those who were rescued have been rushed to Nakuru Level Five Hospital.
