KTN’s Betty Kyallo’s has finally spilt the bean of her relationship with Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho.
After walking out of her marriage to Dennis Okari, KTN’s Betty Kyallo found love elsewhere. That was in the hands of Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho.
Betty told the True Love magazine that she bonded with the governor on a common ground. That the governor was going through the same thing she was.
“He was going through the same thing, a separation, and we connected on that level. We tried to have something and it gave me comfort because we understood where we were with each other. He was easy to talk to, hang out and have fun with.” Betty told True Love

At some point, inquisitive social media users pointed out that Betty was driving a Porsche Cayenne that was registered in Joho’s name.
Not much is known of their relationship because it was kept off social media. What we do know is why it never worked.
There were religious differences. Joho is a Muslim and Betty a Christian. There were tussles. He also wanted her to quit her job and stay home.
“But after a few months I decided that this was not what I wanted for myself. We had a culture clash and a religious clash. I also wanted to be a strong woman; I wanted to make something for myself and my daughter. I wanted to start a business because I am young and energetic. But he wanted someone who was chilled; there was conversation of me quitting my career and just staying at home. We did not see eye to eye on this.” Betty added.
Parting with her newfound love took a toll on her. It was devastating. She walked out again, with her daughter in tow. She is currently single and is not ready to date again.
“It was a painful discovery, and I knew it was going to hurt once again, but I had to walk. I left with what was mine and gave him what was his and we parted ways peacefully in December 2016.”
Betty had dated Okari for five years before they walked down the aisle. Down the aisle to a marriage that collapsed after six months.
Betty currently runs Posh Palace. An upscale Hair Studio and Spa in Kilimani. She is also a prime time news anchor at KTN.
