The yearly Magical Kenya Open Golf Championship is back at the Karen Country club from the fourteenth to the nineteenth of March 2019.
The occasion pulls in obstinate golf fans and fashionistas who come to observe a portion of the world’s best golfers in real life as they fight it out for a stake the € 1.1 Million prize cash.
This being Kenya’s greatest golf occasion, the strain to look sharp and dazzling is high and we have a definitive style direct for you.
It’s fitting to say that comfortable footwear should be No.1 on your wardrobe list. The golf course is extensive and you will walk a lot through the grass and sand to view the players.
A pair of flat strappy sandals with a comfortable sole, tennis shoes or flats are perfect. Heels are not recommended but if you must wear them, make sure they are wedge heels so they don’t aerate the grass.
Flip flops are not ideal since they can be quite loud and you do not want to spend the entire day scrunching your toes to keep the sole to your foot.
The golf-course-appropriate look for women ranges from cotton and or khaki shorts, modest sundresses, Capri, sleeveless and or short sleeved blouses.
For men, a collared polo shirt, a pair of shorts or khakis and tennis shoes will do.
Men are advised to tuck in their shirt and wear a belt.
Women are advised to avoid tight fitting, brightly coloured and overly causal clothes like t-shirts, tank tops and jeans.
Remember you will be walking around the golf course most of the day so you want to bring a small bag with shoulder straps that will be easy to carry.
Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses, sun hat and a pair of binoculars.
There you go! You’re all set and we hope to see you this weekend.
