Missing Plane Finally Located In Njambini

Transport Principal Secretary Paul Maringa informed journalists that the government would be issuing an official statement.

The wreckage of FlySax plane that went missing on Tuesday has been located in South West of the Aberdares.

“The ground search will intensify in the next hour despite poor weather conditions that are posing a challenge. We expect to conclude it in the next one hour,” the PS said.

On Tuesday evening, The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCCA) Director-General Gilbert Kibe confirmed that the flight registration 5Y CAC lost contact with the control at 5 PM.

According to earlier reports from Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Assistant Director in charge of Mountain Areas Simon Gitau, the signal of a phone call from one of the occupants had been detected in the Aberdares in Nyandarua County.

He also noted that the Wednesday morning began in Kinangop area at 4 am where the signal was located. However, the search mission was delayed due to bad weather.
