Mombasa-based painter has become the latest winner of betPawa Sunday Million jackpot.
Ian Nzioka, a father of two, staked Sh10 and made 13 correct predictions to bag the Sh1 million on offer, becoming only the second winner of betPawa jackpot.
The Mombasa-based painter, was presented with a dummy cheque for Sh1 million in a ceremony in Nairobi on Wednesday. And Nzioka (right) cautioned punters on the dangers associated with addiction to gaming.
“Young punters should know that betting is addictive and they should not stake a lot of money in it. If you have to play then stake a small amount that you can afford and that which if you lose would not have an impact on your life. Betting is like smoking so anyone doing it must watch out against addiction,” he said.
Nzioka said he would use spend part of the money in renovating his mother’s house and use the remainder for personal use.
BetPawa, which launched it’s first jackpot last month, allows punters to bet with as little as Sh1.
