NASA leader Raila Odinga on Monday flew out out of the country for an unspecified assignment in Tanzania.
Odinga left JKIA on Monday morning, just three days after holding private peace talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The NASA leader is expected to meet Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli, who is a close family friend of the Odingas.
The tour has also raised speculation that Odinga’s visit could be part of the deal the Opposition chief made with President Kenyatta.
Pulselive.coke contacted the head of the National Government Communication Centre (NGCC) Wangui Muchiri, who stated that she was not aware if Odinga was heading to Tanzania as part of a state assignment.
Odinga’s departure also means that he will not be attending a meeting called by NASA principals to discuss the surprise deal he made with President Kenyatta.
Reports indicate that the NASA leader will be represented by Siaya Senator James Orengo at the crisis meeting to be held in Athi River.
