Motorists plying Nairobi-Nakuru highway will use alternatives from Monday as James Gichuru Road-Rironi Highway (A8) will be closed for repairs.
The Kenya National Highway Authority said in a statement that the capacity of this section will also be enhanced.
Director General Peter Mundinia said a 1.2 km diversion will begin at Kiandura (Kwa Rahab), which is about 1.6 kms from the Chunga mall interchange bridge.
Nakuru bound motorists will use the new diversion on Old Naivasha Road.
Those from Nairobi and Limuru will use the slip road while those from Mai Mahiu will alsomake use of the new diversion.
“Motorists are advised to obey traffic signs, installed signals and trafiic flaggers as well as maintain low speeds along the sections,” Mundinia said on Sunday.
