1.Dry skin
If you have a dry skin type, you are more likely to get dandruff. This is because your scalp will also suffer from dryness. This is especially likely to happen during the cold season when the skin usually gets drier than usual.

2.Lack of proper hair care
One of the ways to avoid dandruff is to make sure you have a proper hair regiment. If you are brushing your hair improperly, over time you will experience dandruff. Each time you comb your hair you remove dead skin cells from your scalp. Having a yeast allergy can cause you to frequently get dandruff. Yeast is a fungi or spore that is usually in the atmosphere. This is a different yeast from the one used for cooking.

4.Lack of shampooing
Shampooing is an effective way to get rid of dead skin cells as well as oils that accumulate on the scalp over time. If you do not shampoo your hair regularly the dead skin cells and oils accumulate causing dandruff occur.

6.Certain diseases
There are certain health conditions that will cause you to develop dandruff. Of these conditions include strokes, heart diseases and poor immunity.
