Suspected motorcycle thief escaped death after attacked by boda-boda operators

A suspected motorcycle thief in Iten, narrowly escaped death after he was attacked by boda-boda operators who wanted to lynch him.
The suspect, Simon Kiprop is admitted to the Elgeyo Marakwet referral hospital after he was rescued by police officers.
He will be arraigned after treatment. Kiprop was found with one stolen motorcycle.
At least five motorcycles have been stolen in Iten this year.
Keiyo North AP commandant Joseph Biwott said the motorbike had been stolen in the neighboring Baringo County.
“The owner of the motorbike came and identified it. The suspect will be arraigned after he is discharged,” Biwott said.
