Tension High in Njoro After Man Was Murdered in Fresh Clashes

The tension in Likia area was high, Njoro, on Thursday after one person was allegedly killed in what appeared to be renewed clashes between two warring communities.

The man was trailing his livestock that had been stolen by suspected rustlers from a neighbouring community.

Njoro OCPD Charity Dorcas said angry residents have blocked the Likia -Mau Narok road and lit bonfires protesting the killing.

Likia residents condemned the killing.

Nakuru county commissioner Joshua Nkanatha, former Molo MP Joseph Kiuna and police went to the scene to try and calm residents.
